THOMAS I. ”TOM” SCHROEDER

DELPHOS – Thomas I. “Tom” Schroeder, 87, of Delphos, passed away Thursday evening, November 7, 2024 at VanCrest of Delphos, Ohio. Tom was born on March 1, 1937 to the late Hubert and Loretta (Niese) Schroeder. He married Sharon Pothast on November 12, 1960 and she survives in Delphos. He is survived by a daughter, Dr. Kelly Schroeder (son-in-law, Dr. Scott Rinesmith) of Lima. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Katie and Evan Rinesmith; a brother, Paul Schroeder of Leipsic; a sister-in-law, Mary Schroeder also of Leipsic, a brother-in-law, Norm Siebeneck of Ottoville, a sister-in-law, Diane Pothast of Delphos and many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Jimmy Schroeder, a sister-in-law, Mary Schroeder, a niece Darlene Schroeder, his in-laws, Valeta Siebeneck, Roger Pothast, Steve and Judy Kemper.

Tom was employed at Philips Display Components of Ottawa for 42 years. He had been a member of Delphos St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A member of the GTE Quarter Century Club, a member of the Delphos K of C 1362 and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles 471. He also served his country through the Ohio National Guard. Tom loved boating and camping; he was an avid fan of the Cleveland Guardians, the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes. But more than anything he loved spending time with his family and traveling to Amish Country, Family and friends may call on Sunday, November 10, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Monday morning 1 hour prior to Mass, at Weber 1840 E Fifth St., Delphos where a Parish Wake service will be Sunday, 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 11, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Delphos. Memorial Contributions can be made to St. John’s School. Online condolences may be shared at www. weberfh.net.
