SANDRA ”SANDY” JEAN UTRUP

Sandra “Sandy” Jean Utrup, 75, of Columbus Grove, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at her home in Columbus Grove, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Born in Lima, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Claire Eugene and Evelyn (Schim­moller) Inbody.
 She worked as an EMT for 33 years in Putnam County, Ohio. She was a member of St. Anthony’s of Padua Catholic Church, Columbus Grove, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Lima, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 516, Columbus Grove.
 Sandy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She had an incredible zest for life, laughter, travel, sports, cards, games, and summers at the lake. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her and were touched by her in many ways.
 She received a kidney transplant more than 20 years ago from her friend and angel Christine which pro­vided decades of life, love and laughter while facing every challenge and setback with unwavering courage and strength until the very end.
 She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dennis M. Utrup; daughters, Tammy (Kork) Koester, Lisa (Nate) Stechschulte and son, Chad (Kara) Utrup; granddaughters, Shayla (Jeff) Nilsen, Haylee (Randy) Zeller, Lexi (Chad) Kuntzman; grandsons, Gabe (Mi­chelle Bernet) Stechschulte, Gage Utrup, Max Utrup and Sam Utrup; great-grandchildren, Chandler Nilsen, Sterling Nilsen, Finley Kuntzman, Graham Kuntzman and soon-to-be baby boy Zeller; siblings, Kevin Inbody, Micki (Craig) Stechschulte, sister-in-law, Pam (late brother Kenny) Inbody and her many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
 A Celebration of Life will be on Wednesday, April 23rd from 2-4pm and 6-8pm and Thursday, April 24th from 10-11am with prayer and service at 11am, at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home, 10879 SR OH-12 Columbus Grove.
