LIMA – Robert E. Bennett, 82, of Lima, Ohio returned to his Heavenly Father on March 15, 2025. He was born October 19, 1942 to the late Gale H. and Mary M. (Recker) Bennett.
 He leaves to cherish his memory a brother, Gary (Janet) Bennett; and sisters, Karen (Richard) Hansgen and Nancy (Mike) Rader.
 Robert was a 1962 graduate of Sts. Peter and Paul High School, Ottawa. He also served as a Captain in the U.S Army with two tours in Vietnam. Robert received a bachelor’s degree in 1970 from Ohio State University. He was an active member in the American Legion, VFW, Vietnam Veterans and Saint Luke Lutheran Church in Lima, Ohio.
 Memorial Services were held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Allen Town Cemetery with military honors.
