GLANDORF – Richard “Rick” Quinn, 71, of Glandorf, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025 at his residence. He was born July 31, 1953, in Lima to Richard and Ruth (Stover) Quinn. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Glandorf. On November 21, 1981, he married Linda Recker, who survives in Glandorf.
Other survivors include three children: Ross Quinn of Jacksonville, NC, Alyssa Schnipke of Glandorf and Matthew Quinn of Columbus; three grandchildren: Hannah Brinkman, Olivia Quinn and Katelyn Schnipke; and three sisters: Anita (Ray) McCandless, Cheryl Klausing and Lisa (Al) Hueve.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Travis Schnipke.
Rick worked for Hearthside Food Solutions, McComb for 25+ years, Kahle Electric, Ottawa for 15 years and Glandorf Fire Department for 19 years. He was a member of the Glandorf Rod and Gun, as well as Leipsic Fishing and Hunting Association. He was an avid snowmobile rider and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Rick was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
“Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Matt Keller officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday with a Glandorf Fire Department Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. and 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.”
