Marilyn Kuhlman

OTTAWA – Marilyn Kuhlman, 88, of Ottawa, passed away at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born March 22, 1937, in Ottawa to the late Bernard and Genevieve (Maag) Schulte. On February 4, 1956, she married Floyd Kuhlman, who preceded her in death on February 27, 1998.
 She is survived by five children: Kevin Kuhlman, Kelly (Jean) Kuhlman, Keith (Debbie) Kuhlman, Ken (Cindy) Kuhlman, all of Ottawa, and Kurt (Julie) Kuhlman of Shawnee; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Leon “Pete” Siefker.
 In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two grandchildren: Whitney Kuhlman and Samantha Kuhlman; and two great-grandchildren: Alexandria Stoner and Lawrence Orley Crimmel; and two sisters: Dorothy (John) Schenk and Patricia Siefker.
 Marilyn retired as co-owner/secretary of Sterling Industries. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. She enjoyed walking, riding her bike, reading nonfiction, college basketball and football, and playing cards with her family. Her boys were her world and she was so thankful for no daughters. Family was everything to Marilyn, especially spending the holidays with all of them. She also loved spending time with Anna Mae Morman and “Leon” Pete Siefker who were her lifelong friends. She was so thrilled to live long enough to see Trump re-elected.
 Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, where a scripture service will begin at 7:50 p.m. and one hour prior to Mass on Wednesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
