OTTAWA – Lou Ann Hermiller, 93 of Ottawa, died 6:50 a.m., Friday, December 27, 2024, at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born July 13, 1931, in Leipsic to the late Charles and Amelia (Kuhlman) Schroeder. On April 17, 1951, she married Richard B. Hermiller. He died April 4, 2001.
Survivors include six children: Ron (Elaine Gilgenbaugh) Hermiller of Ottawa, Roger (Deb) Hermiller of Ottawa, Connie (Tony) Lehman of Ottawa, Roy (Cathy) Hermiller of Pandora, Rick (Christine) Hermiller of Ottawa, Pat (Mark) Maag of Ottawa; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Florence Schroeder of Kalida
She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter; six brothers: Thaddeus Schroeder, Marcellus (Mary) Schroeder, Paul (Lucille) Schroeder, James (Norma) Schroeder, Robert Schroeder, and Albert (Sylvia) Schroeder; and five sisters: Lucille (Bill) Aelker, Florence (Wilbert) Otto, Alice (Lewis) Otto, Anna Marie (Aloysius) Warnecke, and Mary Jane (Elmer) Rieman.
Lou Ann retired from the Car-E-It after 33 years. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, the Ottawa Eagles Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society. She loved to play cards and attend her families sporting events.
Funeral mass will begin 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 30, 2024, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m., Sunday and one hour prior to the mass Monday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. A scripture service will begin at 6:50 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
