Ann Spitnale, 86, of
Cloverdale passed away at 12:46 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. She was born March 20, 1938, in Columbus Grove to the late Paul and Mary (Smith) Morris. On May 16, 1959, she married Henry Spitnale, he preceded her in death on January 9, 2004. She is survived by four daughters: Connie (Orrin “Doug”) Cavazos of Cloverdale, Nancy (Chris) Schultz, Mary Beaverson, both of Bellefontaine, and
Sally Spitnale of Cloverdale; five grandchildren: Emily (Nick) Ghichlian, Adam (Selena) Schultz, Rylie Schultz, Gracie (Mitch) Beaverson, and Megan Beaverson; one great-grandchild: Mia Ghichlian; two sisters: Pauline (Bob) Carder of Columbus Grove, Louise Otto of Vaughnsville; and a brother and sister-in-law: Dale (Edna May) Spitnale of Oakwood. Along with her husband, she is preceded in death by a brother-in law, Dale Otto. Judy retired as a mail carrier. She attended the Presbyterian Church, Columbus Grove and was a member of Church of Christ in Christian Union, Mandale, where she played piano for the church services for many years. Judy was the co-owner of Spitnale Rides and Concessions. She was also a member of the Cloverdale Community Club. She enjoyed gardening and flowers and loved her furry family, Rupert, Cozy and Winston. Judy was very proud of her daughters and made sure everyone knew it.
A funeral service will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Family Outreach Center, Kalida with Pastor Jim Swihart officiating. Burial will follow at Cascade Cemetery, Cloverdale. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again, on Saturday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the Family Outreach Center, Kalida. Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township. Memorial donations may be made to Putnam County Library, Kalida Fire Department or Justice Animal Rescue, (J. A.
