JOHN W. SHARP

John W. “Bill” Sharp, 87, of Cloverdale died at 12:50 a.m., Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. He was born Septem­ber 1, 1937, in Cloverdale to the late Charles and Juanita (Ladd) Sharp. On November 14, 1975, he married Sheila Hoffman, and she survives in Cloverdale.
 Also surviving are three children: John W. Sharp II and Alex (Heather) Sharp, of Cloverdale and Veronica (Jeremy) Troyer of Continental; five grandchildren: Brianne (Chase) Kuhlman, Cayla Troyer, Breckin Troyer, Aislynn Troyer and Paisleigh Troyer; and three siblings: Frank (Jane) Sharp of Oakwood, Sharon (Chuck) Bibler of Continental and Charles Sharp of Grover Hill; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
 He was also preceded in death by a sister, Gela Schuller, brother-in-law Harold Schuller, and sister-in-law, Wendy Sharp.
 Bill retired from Hoffman and Roehrig Painting and was a lifelong farmer. He was a U.S. Army Veteran a life member of the Ottoville VFW Post 3740 and a member of the Ottawa Eagles. He enjoyed hunting and bird watching, and spending time with family, espe­cially his grandchildren.
 Graveside service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Wednes­day, July 16, 2025, at Cascade Cemetery, Cloverdale with military rites by the Ottoville VFW. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m., Tuesday and one hour prior to the graveside service Wednesday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental.
