Jo Ann T. (Knueven) Schimmoeller, 89, of Kalida, passed away at 2:25 a.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Vancrest of Delphos. She was born February 4, 1935, in Lima to the late Albert and Victoria (Utrup) Knueven. On November 21, 1953, she married Paul R. Schimmoeller. He survives in Kalida.
 Other survivors include six children: Daniel Schim­◤CO Check hyphenation◢moeller of Perrysburg, Paul Michael (Becky) Schim­◤CO Check hyphenation◢moeller of Ottawa, Nicholas (Ellen) Schimmoeller of Arizona, Victoria (Lynn) Noffsinger of Cloverdale, Julia (Nicholas) Link of Pickerington and Craig (Brenda) Schimmoeller of Ottawa; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
 She was also preceded in death by a son, Jay Schimmoeller; a daughter-in-law, Janice Schimmoel­◤CO Check hyphenation◢ler; and a grandson, Jordan Schimmoeller.
 Jo Ann was a designer and seamstress of wedding gowns, bridesmaids’ dresses, and even dog tuxes, as well as priest vestments. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida, and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She enjoyed art and was excellent at drawing and painting pictures. Jo Ann loved spending time with her family and friends.
 Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2024, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Phil Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
