OTTAWA – Geri Lynn Ricker, 64, of Ottawa, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. She was born October 20, 1960, in Toledo to the late Stanley “Tip” and Dottie (Van Oss) Hovest. On June 22, 1985, she married Duane Ricker, he survives in Ottawa.
Geri is also survived by two children: Justin (Melissa) Ricker of Ottawa, and Jessica Ricker of East Lansing, MI.; two grandchildren: Anson and Lena, and one on-the-way; siblings: Gerard (Tonia) Hovest of Pandora, Geni Keiser and Garrett Hovest, both of Ottawa.
She is preceded in death by a nephew, Ben Hovest.
Geri served Otterbein Retirement Communities in Leipsic and Pemberville for over 25 years. She also worked on the ambulance service in Glandorf. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf. Geri was also a member of the Ottawa Eagles and Catholic Ladies of Columbia, Glandorf. She enjoyed cooking and hosting. Geri loved watching her grandkids on Tuesdays. She enjoyed vacationing with friends at the beach, “glamping”, going to the races with her husband, and being with her loved ones.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Matt Keller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, and again on Friday from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home.
