OTTAWA Dennis L. Frey, 75, of Ottawa, passed away at 5:22 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025 at his residence. He was born August 3, 1949, in Lima to the late Richard L. and Patricia (Maidlow) Frey. On August 11, 1978, he married Sandra Snyder, who survives in Ottawa.
 Other survivors include five siblings: Dave (Darla Sellers) Frey of Ottawa, Debbie Piotrowski of Ottawa, Randy (Laurie) Frey of Kalida, Becky (Terry) Naveau of Ottawa and Steve (Karen) Frey of Murfreesboro, TN; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and all the neighbor kids with whom he had a special bond and was considered their “Honorary Grandpa.”
 He was preceded in death by an infant son; a brother-in-law, Alan Piotrowski; and sister-in-law, Theresa Frey.
 Dennis was a retired video producer and talented musician. He sang vocals and played in several local bands with fellow musicians and brothers, playing many instruments such as the saxophone, flute, bass and guitar. Dennis loved spending time with his friends and family.
 Funeral services will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at New Creation Lutheran Church, Ottawa with Pastor Dan Bredberg officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
