DELPHOS Charles L. “Chuck” Dunbar, 64, of Delphos, went with the Lord, Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the Laurels of Defiance. He was born February 14, 1961, in Lima to Donald and Marilyn (Boecker) Dunbar, who survive in Ottoville.
Chuck is also survived by his children: Sara (Brandon Moore) Dunbar of Defiance and Jeremy Dunbar of Van Wert; his siblings: James (Colleen) Dunbar of Cloverdale, Michael “Mike” Dunbar of Ottoville, and Tambra (Blaz) Alvarado of Arthur; aunts and uncles: Karl (Linda) Boecker, George (Terri) Boecker, Alan (Tammy) Boecker, Marvin Boecker, Duane (Bonnie) Boecker, Paul (Laurie) Boecker, Maureen (Pete) Kennerk, and Jean Boecker.
He is preceded in death by grandparents, Henry (Ruth) Boecker; uncles, Norbert Boecker, Dennis (Donna) Boecker, Maurice Boecker, Clark (Rita) Dunbar, and Charles Dunbar.
Chuck worked at Socar, Continental, then on the oil fields in Texas. He was a joyful man. He loved his children, grandchildren and dog. Chuck enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. He was loved by many.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, at St. Barbara Catholic Church, Cloverdale with Very Reverend George Mahas officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery at a later date. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township, and again on Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
