ANTWERP — Kalida’s volleyball team picked up their first win of the season Monday as they defeated Antwerp 25-17, 25-20 and 2516 in non-league action. Malia Romes led the Ladycats (1-1) with 13 kills on 25-of-30 hitting along with three aces on 13-of-15 serving with seven digs.
OTTAWA — Ottawa-Glandorf picked up their second Western Buckeye League boys golf win Monday defeating Kenton 159-180 at Pike Run. Davis Maag led the Titans with a 35 for medalist honors.
GLANDORF — Ottawa-Glandorf overcame a second half deficit Friday night to tie Kalida 2-2 in the season opener for both teams. The Wildcats’ built a 2-0 lead as Landon Verhoff and Owen Grime scored goals.
OTTAWA — Ottawa-Glandorf head football coach Ken Schriner has liked what he has seen from his 2024 football so far this pre-season. Now with pre-season camp and two scrimmages behind them the Titans are looking forward to kicking off the 2024 season Friday night.
OTTAWA — Miller City’s girls golf team finished second in a three team match at Moose Landing Country Club Monday. Archbold won the three team match shooting a 175, while the Wildcats had a 208 and Patrick Henry a 219.
OTTAWA—Itwasaclean sweep for Putnam County golf teams Monday at the Patrick Henry Invitational. Ottawa-Glandorf, Miller City and Leipsic took Gold, Silver and Bronze at the 18 team invitational at the Pike Run Golf Course.
OTTAWA — Kalida started Putnam County League play Tuesday morning with a 159-185 win over Columbus Grove at the Moose Landing Country Club in a dual match. Connor Nartker paced the Wildcats (10, 1-0) with a 37 for medalist honors.
NORTH BALTIMORE — Miller City’s girls golf team won a three team golf match Monday at the Birch Run Golf Course in North Baltimore. The Wildcats posted the low score shooting a 211 as Elmwood was second with a 226 and Tinora was third with a 230.
OTTAWA — Kalida’s golf team led local teams playing in the Ken Schnipke Invitational Wednesday at the Moose Landing Country Club. The Wildcats finished fourth among the 26 teams playing in the invitational with a score of 323.
