VAN WERT — Ottawa-Glandorf’s golf team had to wait an extra three hours to begin their quest to possibly win a Western Buckeye League title Thursday. Dense fog delayed the start of the WBL tournament by three hours, but when the final scores were posted the Titans were celebrating the programs first league championship.
OTTOVILLE — Ottoville scored a pair of second half goals Saturday evening to defeat Riverdale 3-0 on Senior Night for the Big Green. The Big Green had a 1-0 halftime lead on an Alex Leis goal for before scoring twice in the second half.
VAN WERT — Ottawa-Glandorf’s girls soccer team saw 14 players reach the scoring column Monday in a 14-0 Western Buckeye League win over Van Wert. Scoring goals for the Titans (6-0, 111) Monday were Makenna Siefker, Carlie Brinkman, Delaney Duling, Emma Heringhaus, Alaina Klass, Brea Recker, Liv Grothause, Maya Heringhaus, Karlee Maag, Gabby Steffan, Rilee Brinkman, Lola Kuhlman, Lauren Kimmet and Delaney Fruchey.
COLUMBUS GROVE — Columbus Grove took the lead on their opening drive Friday night. The Bulldogs didn’t stop there.
ST. MARYS — Ottawa-Glandorf needed a fourth quarter stop to overcome a deficit.
PANDORA — Arlington used a defensive play to tie Pandora-Gilboa to start the second half Friday night. The Rockets stopped the Red Devils comeback there as they scored the final three touchdowns of the night and their defense shut down the Red Devils in a 49-28 Blanchard Valley Conference win.
OTTAWA — Ottawa-Glandorf’s girls tennis team swept all three singles matches Thursday in defeating Bluffton 3-2 in non-league action. Junior Maggie Schmiedebusch picked up a win at first singles as she defeated Bluffton’s Rory Youngpeter 6-1, 6-3.
OTTAWA — Ottawa-Glandorf senior standout runners Ty Rosengarten and Anna Buddelmeyer were competing for the final time last on their home course. The two senior standouts for the Titans walked off their home course Saturday morning with wins as they also competed in their final Blue and Gold Invitational at Memorial Park in Ottawa.
OTTAWA — Ottawa-Glandorf’s boys golf team continued their run through the Western Buckeye League Monday with a 162-221 win over Celina at Pike Run. The Titans finished the WBL regular season with an 8-1 record tying them for first place with St.
SPENCERVILLE — Columbus Grove scored a pair of quick touchdowns Friday night to race past Spencerville 45-7 in the Northwest Conference opener for both teams. The Bulldogs scored 43 seconds into the game when Brady Basinger caught a pass from Riley Sautter that turned into a 35 yard scoring play.
