LEIPSIC — Leipsic continues their roll through the Blanchard Valley Conference with a 25-16, 25-15, 25-22 win over McComb Monday.
LIMA — Ottawa-Glandorf’s doubles team of Maggie Schmiedebusch and Mya Inkrott battled the top seeded looking to win a sectional doubles title.
COLIUMBUS GROVE — Columbus Grove scored a pair of first quarter touchdowns Friday night on their way to a 50-20 Northwest Conference win over Fort Loramie.
LEIPSIC — Leipsic overcame a first set loss Monday evening to defeat Liberty-Benton 23-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-21 in Blanchard Valley Conference action. The fourth ranked Vikings moved to 8-0 in the BVC and 17-0 overall on the season.
COLUMBUS GROVE — Columbus Grove scored a late goal Monday to defeat Bluffton 2-1 in a Northwest Conference girls soccer match. The Bulldogs will look to claim an outright NWC title next Monday when they visit Crestview.
LIMA — Ottawa-Glandorf’s girls tennis team put together a strong showing Saturday on the second day of the Western Buckeye League tournament. The Titans had two players playing for first place and two more playing for third place as the tournament wrapped up.
OTTAWA — Anna Buddelmeyer has been chasing the Ottawa-Glandorf school record for top time in girls cross country all-season. On Saturday the senior standout was able to reach her goal at the Kalida Wildcat Invitational.
CENTERVILLE — Columbus Grove’s cross country teams ran well competing in their first night race at the Centerville Saturday Night Lights race. The Grove boys won their division finishing with 54 points as the Trailblazers finished second with 95 points.
HARROD — Trenton Barraza scored a pair of touchdowns within two minutes of each other Friday night. That was just the start for the senior running back and the Columbus Grove football team.
