October fun at the Council on Aging
OTTAWA — The Putnam County Council on Aging has a busy and exciting month planned, and we’d love for you to join us! From games and crafts to educational programs and activities held throughout Putnam County, October is packed with opportunities to learn, connect, and have fun with others.

The following individuals were indicted Wednesday by the Putnam County Grand Jury. They will be arraigned at 9 a.m. Sept. 29.

First Lady DeWine announces early literacy initiative with Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio
COLUMBUS — Friday, Ohio First Lady Fran DeWine announced a new statewide initiative designed to enroll more Ohio children immediately after birth in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio. Studies have shown that books in the home, such as the books the Imagination Library provides to children from birth to age five, and more reading can increase Kindergarten Readiness Assessment scores.
