Coalition to assist incarcerated citizens return to community

PUTNAM COUNTY – Housing, transportation, and finding work. These are all critical areas of concern for someone who has served their sentence for a crime and been reintroduced into their community. A coalition of social workers, law enforcement, pastors, and other volunteers are working to help these individuals meet these needs. They are doing it with the assistance of start-up funding through a grant from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction in coordination with the United Methodist Church’s West Ohio Conference.

Wellness Park building connections in healthcare

Wellness Park, the innovative Blanchard Valley Health System campus on Findlay’s north end, is an example of how building connections between different aspects of healthcare can improve that care. Community members might use this example to inspire their own healthcare journeys, seeking out whatever care they may need, while relying on a primary care provider to help link it all together.
