
‘Putnam’s Pecos’ races Pegasus to Mexico and back
In a previous edition of the Sentinel, it was explained that famous American author James Cloyd Bowman’s hometown was Leipsic. He eventually graduated from Ohio Northern University (Class of 1905), did his graduate work at Harvard University, then became a college English professor. In between grading papers, he wrote books. Some were of the emerging “Tall Tale” genre.
