LEIPSIC — Over the weekend, Leipsic Fishing & Hunting Club was the site of the R100, a national archery competition currently traveling to 16 states, some of them twice each year. After a hiatus in Ohio, Leipsic started hosting the tournament three years ago.
OTTAWA — At the opening ceremony of the Putnam County Fair Monday, 106.3’s The Big Kahuna introduced Chaplain Ken Wehri to provide the invocation, Allison Ellerbrock to sing the National Anthem, the Jr. Fair Board to lead the Pledge of Allegiance and 4-H pledge, and FFA members to recite the FFA Creed.

During May at the Continental, Fort Jennings, and Ottoville PCDL locations stop by and enjoy completing a Spring Story Walk together. It is great family fun, combining reading with activities, indoors. Also, at all PCDL locations in May have fun with a Scavenger Hunt finding Sunshine.
TOLEDO — A new study found the shingles vaccination cut older adults’ risk of developing dementia over the next seven years by 20%. The research is part of a growing understanding of how healthy lifestyle choices and decisions influence brain health and can lower the risk of dementia.
