OTTAWA — The annual Putnam County Shred-A-Thon is back, and will take place on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Putnam County Council on Aging is in honor of Elder Abuse Awareness.
FORT JENNINGS — He played basketball, and played in the band, at Fort Jennings High School. He got an Education Degree from Bowling Green University. He was a supervisor at the Ford Plant in Lima for 30 years. He’s made more wood craft items, over a lifetime, than you could shake a chisel at.
OTTAWA — The Friends of the Putnam County District Library will hold their Used Book and Attic Treasures Sale on Tuesday, June 3 and Wednesday, June 4. The location will be at Ottawa Elementary, 123 Putnam Parkway, Ottawa. Hours on both days will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Steve & Gerilyn Otto Scholarship, a $500 award presented to two students from Putnam County, recognizes outstanding character, values, service, and motivation. Sponsored by Steve and Gerilyn Otto, this scholarship honors students who exemplify these qualities in both their schools and communities.
People First of Putnam County held their “Hop into Spring” Dance on May 9 at the Leipsic Community Center. Individuals enjoyed dancing, visiting friends and listening to music. The music for the event was provided by D.J. John Tadena. Attendees also played a game to help review their rights as individuals with developmental disabilities. COLUMBUS GROVE – Leipsic and Columbus Grove high school choirs performed during the Putnam County Senior Citizen’s celebration on Wednesday, May 7. The event was held at the Columbus Grove American Legion in honor of Older Americans Month.
