OTTAWA – Marvin E. Skinner, 85, of Ottawa died at 7:08 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. He was born January 7, 1940, in Painesville, Ohio to the late Wayne Eugene and Helen Ina (King) Skinner. He was married to Charlene Butz, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by 3 children: Peggy Ranes of Leipsic, Jill Skinner and T.J. (Vickie Warnecke) Skinner, both of Ottawa; 5 grandchildren: Kendal Farmer, Chance Espenschied, Tyler Espenschied, Brittany Warnecke and Kailey Warnecke; and 2 great-grandchildren: Sorena Espenschied and Karri Espenschied.
Marvin retired from Philips, Ottawa and was formerly a member of the Belmore Fire Department.
The funeral service for Marvin will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, 916 East Main St., Ottawa with Pastor Jerry Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, Leipsic at a later date. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
