Rosalie Ann “Rosie” Kaple

OTTAWA – Rosalie Ann “Rosie” Kaple, 86, of Ottawa passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at the Meadows of Ottawa. She was born May 25, 1938, in New Bavaria to the late Eldred and Julia (Eiden) Brown. She had previously been married to Lawrence (Larry) Kaple, who preceded in her death.
 Rosie is survived by a son, Steve (Sandy) Kaple of North Fort Myers, Florida; and a brother, Edwin (Lyn) Brown of Hicksville.
 She is preceded in death by a son, Jeff Kaple; a granddaughter, Candace Rose Kaple; and a sister Janet (Carl) Recker.
 Rosie retired from Philips Sylvania, Ottawa and was a member of the Philips Quarter Century Club. She loved her Green Meadows neighborhood, where she lived for over 50 years. She could be found at home feeding the stray cats, the neighborhood rooster, and her birds. She loved to shop and was always looking for an excuse to do so.
 The family would like to thank the Meadows of Ottawa staff, Putnam County Hospice, Pam Sager, NP, and Mandy Klass, MD for all the great care she received while a resident there. We would also like to thank her nieces, Cheryl Ellerbrock and Carla Lammers, and her great niece, Carrie Vorst for being a big part of her life and especially in her last days. We are forever grateful for your love and support.
 There will be no viewing or visitation. A graveside service for family and friends will be held this summer at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Ottawa. Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
