Jack Langhals, 91, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away on August 26, 2025, leaving behind his wonderful wife Dottie and loving family. He was born in Toledo, Ohio to the late John E. Langhals and Mardell Hagerty on March 8, 1934.
 He spent his childhood in Putnam County attending school in Ottville, Ohio. He left high school to join the Air Force during the Korean War. He served in the Air Force from 1952 1956 where he earned the National Defense and Good Conduct Medals. He completed high school while in the service but didn’t receive his diploma until he was 75. After his discharge he joined his father in Monroeville, Ohio. He worked at the U.S. Post Office as a Carrier for one year and in the office for 3 years. When NASA opened at Plum Brook he went to work there as a Rocket Engineering Technician. When Plum Brook started to wind down in 1970, he went into the car business. He worked at Foster, Bob Meyer and Carl Kenney Chevrolet retiring as General Manager. After retirement he went to work for Huron County Transit as a Driver for 6 years. He was a past member of the Huron Lodge #37, Norwalk Odd Fellows, and Monroeville Legion Post #547. A present member of the Norwalk American Legion Post #41, he was also a former member of the State Highway Patrol Auxiliary. He served on the Woodlawn Cemetery board for many years. He was a blood donor and an avid bowler for many years. A die-hard, wait till next year, Browns and Buckeye fan.
 He was preceded in passing by his first wife, Jackie (Berger) Langhals; his second wife, Ann (Magnuson) Langhals; and his parents.
 Jack is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Dottie (Bechtel) Langhals; his four sons and daughters in-law, Phil & Jane of Port Clinton, Rich & Mary of Fishers, IN, Steve & Angie of Berlin Heights, and Mark of Sandusky; his three step-children, Bill Bader Jr. & Jayme of Norwalk, Kelly Bader & Mark of Mill Spring, NC, and Roberta Maggard of Milan; 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, some of them are also Browns hopeful fans.
 A visitation for close friends and family will be held at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery with Military Rites. In lieu of flowers, Jack would like any memorial contributions made in his name to go to Ottville High School Library, P.O. Box 248, Ottville, OH 45876, in honor of the Class of 1952.
