Mary Ann Schroeder, 82, of Columbus Grove, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in Kalida, Ohio. Born in Lima, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Regina (Heitmeyer) Smith. On September 28, 1963, she married John E. Schroeder who preceded her in death in 2005.
 She is survived by children, Craig (Barb) Schroeder, Dee (Greg) Griffith and Gina (Paul) Egbers; sisters Alice (Jim) Flaherty and Helen Unverferth; grandchildren, Kaylan (Ross) Unverferth, Kirsten (Russell) Lammers, Kody (Emily Westrick) Griffith, Kurt Griffith, Jessica Schroeder, Jacob Schroeder, Emily (Derek Coleman) Egbers and Grace Egbers; great grandchildren, Landon, Kyla, Ben, Liv and Blake Unverferth and Griffin Lammers; and sister-in-law, Ruth Smith. She is also preceded in death by siblings, John Smith, Kenny Smith and Diane Smith; and brother-in-law, Bob Unverferth.
 Mary Ann worked as a nurse for 27 years at St. Rita’s Medical Center until her retirement in 2011. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Alter Rosary Society and Catholic Ladies of Columbia, where she was an officer. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and especially helping others, which she did all her life.
 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Monday, June 9, 2025, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Columbus Grove, OH with FR. Rick Friebel officiating with visitation one hour prior at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home 10879 SR OH-12 Columbus Grove. Visitation is also on Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 1-6 pm at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home with a rosary service to follow. Burial at St. Anthony Cemetery.
