Dennis L Seyer, 78, of Columbus Grove, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025, unexpectantly at his home. Born in Lima, he was the son of the late William Jr., and Betty (Shinabery) Seyer. He retired after 37 years at Ford Motor Company, Lima in 2005. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 9648, and the American Legion Post 516, both of Columbus Grove. Dennis enjoyed playing golf in the men’s league in Bluffton, attending Cincinnati Reds games, and rooting for OSU and the Cleveland Browns. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
 He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Joyce (Bowersock) Seyer; children, Lance (Shannon) Seyer, Shannon (Steve) Shisler; stepson, Nathan (Dana) Nelson; grandchildren, Cameron Seyer, Seth (Emily) Nelson, Luke Nelson, Ethan Nelson and Abigail Nelson; brother, David (Margie) Seyer and daughter-in-law, Michelle Nelson. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Lou Seyer, stepson, Dane Nelson and his sister Jacqualine Reed in December 2024.
 Funeral Service is Friday, May 9, 2025, at 1:00pm, at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home, 10879 SR OH-12 Columbus Grove with visitation two hours prior (11:00am to 1:00pm). Pastor Geoff Eubank officiating. Burial to follow at Truro Cemetery with military honors.
