Laurie Ann Lenhart, of Leipsic, passed away at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay on Thursday, April 17, 2025. She was born July 8, 1981 to Randy and Linda (Crumrine) Lenhart in Defiance.
She is survived by her two daughters, Samatha Lenhart of Maumee and Grace Pettry of Leipsic; a sister, Tonya (Eddie) Combs; two nieces, Nichole and Vanessa of Mississippi, an adopted sister Cher (Orvil) Barnes of Leipsic; her two cats, Bubba and Freeloader; along with many aunts, uncles and friends.
Laurie was employed at AJ’s Carry Out and Smokin Bs in Leipsic. She was a member of the Leipsic Rod and Gun. She loved to fish and hang out with her friends and family.
There are people who enter your life and leave it quietly. Laurie was not one of those people. She left a mark sometimes with laughter, sometimes with honesty that stung a little, and always with generosity that went deeper than most people realized. She was fiery. Honest. Unfiltered. Stubborn in a way that makes you laugh. But here’s the thing about Laurie: She gave. She gave when she didn’t have it. She gave when it hurt. She gave love, time, food, space, warmth – without asking for it back. She gave more than what people deserved sometimes, but that’s just who she was. She didn’t want an explanation, or an apology. For those who really knew her, the ones lucky enough to be in her circle, she gave something even rarer, being unapologetically herself. Unfiltered honesty. A breath of fresh air in a world where everyone wants to be cut from the same cloth. She said exactly what she wanted. And now, in this deafening silence she’s left behind, we need to remember what that means. Give to those in need, help your loved ones, and be the unfiltered raw version of you.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500) is honored to serve Laurie’s family.
