Marlene R. Skinner, 85, of Vaughnsville, Ohio passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, surrounded by family at the Meadows of Delphos. Born in Lima, Ohio on July 16, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Florence (Balliet) Snyder. She graduated from Lima Senior High School. She was a member of the Vaughnsville United Methodist Church. She worked as a bookkeeper at The Lima News, Bob’s Truck Repair, and Brunner News Agency. She was a dedicated and loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother; always putting the needs of others before herself. She loved animals, especially cats and through the years, many animals received her love and care and were a huge part of her enjoyment in life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, doing outdoor activities, and watching golf and Ohio State Buckeyes football. She was a caring and honest person, as well as a good friend who loved a good laugh and in turn making others laugh.
 She is survived by her son, Tom Skinner and granddaughters, Lyndsey Skinner and Alysh Vickers, stepdaughter Shirley (Greg) Halker and grandchildren, Kelli (Jeff) Gayonski, Keri (Mark) Aylor, and Justin Halker; daughter-in-law Cheryl (Mike) Skinner and grandchildren, Mike (Jenn) Skinner, Steve Skinner, Greg (Liz) Skinner; nephews Steve (Kara) Snyder and Rick (Michelle) Snyder; numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
 She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert (Bob) Skinner, who she loved dearly and supported unconditionally throughout their lives together. She was also proceeded in death by her brother, Richard Snyder and niece, Amy Snyder, and stepsons Mike Skinner and John (Linda) Skinner.
 A Reception for friends will be held from 2 to 4 pm Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home, 10879 SR OH-12 Columbus Grove.
