Continental Fall Festival enjoys perfect weather and large crowds
CONTINENTAL — The Continental Fall Festival was well-attended last weekend with plenty to do. Friday featured a karaoke contest and Deep Cuts. Saturday’s car show set a record with 167 vehicles, beating last year’s record of 161. Plenty of candy was thrown in Saturday’s parade, there was a poker run, a 5k/10k Wyatt’s Walk, a sidewalk chalk art contest, a performance by the Continental High School band, line dancing lessons, touch-a-truck and Saw Crush performed live. Continental Council lauds new flagpole installation
CONTINENTAL — Tuesday evening’s council meeting started on time despite the absence of council member Dan Sullivan who joined at 7:15 pm and Mayor Mathew Miller who joined at 7:30 pm after the “Team Gray” youth soccer team he coaches beat their “Team Black” rivals 3-2. Council member Jordan Streicher stepped in to run the meeting in the Mayor’s absence.
