Glandorf waiting to initiate canoe launch project

GLANDORF — Village Council was informed by Glandorf Mayor David Dalrymple he had received an email asking when the canoe launch park project might be ready to go out for a public bid. As he hadn’t received any drawings from the inquisitive party, he informed them in a return email that he would like to see those first and get feedback from the council before moving forward.

Kalida council reviews firehouse concerns, water tower lights

KALIDA — Shortly after the meeting of the Kalida Village Council commenced, while reviewing the village’s bills that needed paid, Mayor Jason Birkemeier noted two unusual items, a new lawnmower and the new delineators for the intersection of Main and Broad Streets. A question arose about glass beads on the invoice list, and Street Maintenance supervisor Jon Edelbrock informed council that when the lines on the streets are painted, small glass beads are added to provide extra reflectivity and longer life to the paint.
