DEFIANCE – Republican State Senate candidate Craig Riedel announced Tuesday his campaign raised more than $250,000 ahead of the June 30, 2025 semi-annual campaign finance deadline. Notably, this does not include any self-funding. Riedel became the first announced candidate for Ohio’s 1st Senate District in early April and since then has established himself as the early frontrunner to replace term-limited Senator Rob McColley (R-Napoleon).

While under French rule, Canada hosted fairs in the 1700s, and in 1765 a 2-day agricultural market was held in the city of York, Pennsylvania.
