COLUMBUS — The state Central Committee of the Ohio Republican Party met Friday May 9 to consider making endorsements for the candidacy of the United States Senator from Ohio and the candidate for Governor for Ohio for the 2026 election cycle. The committee voted to endorse Senator Jon Husted as their presumptive 2026 candidate for the U.S. Senate, and former presidential hopeful and Cincinnati native Vivek Ramaswamy as the presumptive candidate for the 2026 gubernatorial race.
OTTAWA — The Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated its annual membership dinner and awards ceremony last week at the Putnam County Event Center.
Last weekend the Putnam County Office of Public Safety and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office held a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at the Ottawa Eagles to benefit Myndi and Scott Farling, who have amassed some significant medical bills together.
COLUMBUS GROVE – Leipsic and Columbus Grove high school choirs performed during the Putnam County Senior Citizen’s celebration on Wednesday, May 7. The event was held at the Columbus Grove American Legion in honor of Older Americans Month.
