Pandora Council looking at water bill forgiveness ordinance change

PANDORA—A village ordinance amendment was proposed after a resident found over 35 inches of water in the basement of their recently purchased home. The homeowner, who moved to the community in October, discovered a crack in the check valve of their water-powered backup sump pump which caused village water to spray into their sump basin unchecked for an extended period of time, allowing 35,100 gallons of water to leak through the pump in February, for which the homeowner received a bill of $536.79.

Go-Getters elect new club officers
