Rockets blanked by Pirates

PANDORA — Pandora-Gilboa was unable to get their offense going Friday night in a 42-0 non-league loss to Bluffton in their home opener. Griffin Stackhouse gave the Pirates a lead when he returned the opening kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown.

Wildcats’ Pfau wins girls Gray Division race at Col. Grove Invite

COLUMBUS GROVE — Miller City’s Andrea Pfau and the Columbus Grove boys cross country team stood among the local competitors at the annual Columbus Grove Invitational Saturday morning. Pfau went to the lead early in winning the girls Gray Division individual title, while the Bulldog boys had the top team finish as they finished second in the boys Gray Division.

Rockets sweep Mustangs

PANDORA — Pandora-Gilboa made quick work of Allen East Saturday morning to claim a 25-6, 25-11, 25-11 non-league win. Ava Huffman served up three aces for the Rockets on 5-of-7 serving along with 11 digs, while Makayla Suter had two aces on 11-of-11 serving with two kills.

Lady Bulldogs blank Musketeers

COLUMBUS GROVE — Five different players scored for Columbus Grove Saturday in an 8-0 Putnam County League win over Fort Jennings. Lauryn Auchmuty scored three goals for the Bulldogs (1-0-1 PCL) and had two assists, while Ella Dotson had two goals with two assists.
