Correction: Little Nashville band photo caption
This Little Nashville photo in the last issue, that ran on the top left of A2, had the wrong caption. The correct caption is the following: “The 60’s Survivors Band entertained the patrons at the Cavern Club Winery on Friday night during Little Nashville.” Our apologies! .

Vehicle accident on SR 65 near Columbus Grove
On a Tuesday afternoon last week, a car traveling on a Vaughnsville/Col. Grove road lost control and hit a telephone pole. The electricity, Cablevision, and Internet was shut down for approximately 300 people. A section on State Highway 65 from E. Sycamore to Rt. 12 was closed. Three people were in the car at the time of the accident. Columbus Grove EMS transported a victim or victims to the hospital.

CLOVERDALE - Judith Ann Spitnale, 86, of Cloverdale passed away at 12:46 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Mercy Health St.
Ronald C. “Smitty” Smith
CONTINENTAL Ronald C. “Smitty” Smith, 74, of Continental, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. He was born April 20, 1950, in Continental to the late Calvin and Ruby (Ordway) Smith. On March 6, 1974, he married Linda Mooney, who survives in Continental.

NEIBI REZA
Neibi Reza, 84, of Leipsic, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 1, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Tomas and Carlotta (Castenta) Rubio on March 17, 1940 in Mexico.

DONALD J. ”DOC” MEYER
FORT JENNINGS Donald J. ‘Doc’ Meyer, age 80, of Fort Jennings, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024, at his residence. He was born October 11, 1943, in Fort Jennings to the late Herman and Marie (Wieging) Meyer. On April 12, 1969, he married Kay F. (Schimmoeller) Meyer, who survives in Ft. Jennings.

DEBORAH KLEMAN
Deborah Kleman, 72, of Punta Gorda, FL formerly Van Wert, OH, passed away on August 8, 2024 at home surrounded by family. Deborah was born on October 31, 1951 to the late Richard (Lefty) and Rita (Brown) Bott in North Creek, OH.

DONALD (DON) E. BUCHER
Donald (Don) E Bucher, 74, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 11, 2024 surrounded by family and friends. Don was born in Bluffton, Ohio on December 17, 1949 to John and Thelma (Bridenbaugh) Bucher.

Soccer Scrimmage
Soccer scrimmages held Putnam County soccer teams started practice last week as they prepare for the start of their seasons next week.
