OTTAWA — Ottawa-Glandorf got off to a bit of a sluggish start against Kenton Friday night.

The visiting Wildcats controlled play early before the Titans found their rhythm midway through the first quarter. After that it was Kenton that was unable to stop the Titans momentum as O-G rolled to a 101-57 Western Buckeye League win.

The win gives O-G, the second ranked team in Division III, at-least a share of the WBL as they moved to 7-0 and 19-0 overall. The Titans can claim an outright WBL title next Friday as they visit Wapakoneta.

Kenton controlled the momentum early building an early 8-2 lead. The Titans were down 11-8 after a Landon Rush basket before going on a 9-0 run as they took the lead for good at 17-11. Jay Kaufman tied the game at 11-11 with a three point play before Richie Knowlton, Carter Heringhaus and Chad Duling scored baskets after Wildcat turnovers.

O-G finished the opening quarter with a 9-4 run for a 26-15 lead. All nine Titan points were scored on three-pointers provided by BJ Fortman, Knowlton and Bryce Schroeder. Jaron Sharp scored the Kenton points.

The Titans continued to pull away in the second quarter with a 20-13 scoring run before adding a 28-15 third quarter scoring run for a 74-43 lead going to the fourth quarter.

In the final quarter, O-G continued to flourish offensively outscoring the Wildcats 27-14. The Titans had the crowd on their edge of their seats in the closing minute of the game as they sat at 99 points. After five attempts to reach the century mark failed, the Titans finally hit 100 points when Trevor Siefker grabbed an offensive rebound and scored sending the faithful into a frenzy.

Jay Kaufman paced five Titan players in double digits with 25 points and he grabbed 10 rebounds.

Schroeder added 13 points, Heringhaus tossed in 12, while Owen Hiegel and Duling both had 10 points. A total of 11 O-G players scored in the game.

Sharp led the Wildcats with 22 points, while Jacob Eversole added 16 points and Rush had 12 points.

Ottawa-Glandorf won the junior varsity game 70-39.
