COLDWATER - Ottoville's volleyball team got off to a good start against Coldwater in a battle of state ranked teams Saturday in a triangular at Coldwater.

The Lady Green, ranked fourth in Division IV, had an early lead on the Cavaliers, ranked in the Division III poll, before Coldwater rallied to win the first set 25-14. The Cavaliers finished the sweep with a 25-13 win in the second set.

Bridget Landin had six kills, three blocks and 11 digs for the Big Green (20-1), while CJ Kemper had five kills and five blocks and Brynlee Hanneman had four blocks. Emily Landin had 13 digs and Abi Hilvers had 16 assists and 12 digs.

Coldwater won the junior varsity contest 25-12, 25-10.

In their first match of the day, the Big Green took down Lima Central Catholic 25-15, 25-15.

Bridget Landin had eight kills, two blocks and eight digs, while Kemper had eight kills, three blocks and seven digs and Hanneman had five blocks. Emily Landin served up a pair of aces and Abi Hilvers had 22 assists.

LCC won the junior varsity contest in two games 25-20, 25-15.

St. Henry 3

Leipsic 0

LEIPSIC - St. Henry won a pair of close games on their way to a sweep of Leipsic 25-20, 25-23, 25-18 in a battle of state ranked teams in non-leaguea ction.

The Redskins are the third ranked team in Division IV and the Vikings (17-3) are the seventh ranked team in Division IV.

Hayley Heitmeyer was 11-of-12 serving and 26-of-32 hitting with nine kills and nine blocks and Kierra Meyer was 8-of-8s erving and 26-of-31 hitting with nine kills and 18 digs. Carlee Siefker was 18-of-19 hitting with five kills and 11 digs and Kaceu Dulle was 8-of-8 serving with 19 digs.

Selena Loredo was 15-of-15 serving and 54-of-55 setting with 13 assists and eight digs, while Lyndie Hazelton was 35-of-35 setting with 11 assists and 10-of-11 serving.

Columbus Grove 3

Pandora-Gilboa 0

PANDORA - Columbus Grove got off to a good start Saturday morning in defeating rival Pandora-Gilboa 25-16, 25-21, 25-15 in Putnam County League action.

Carlee McCluer served up an ace along with eight kills and 14 digs for the Bulldogs and Haley Radabaugh had eight kills and four digs. Lauren Birkemeier had a solo block, three assisted blocks, seven kills and an ace and Paige Bellman had three blocks and seven kills.

Rylee Sybert had six kills, 15 assists and 10 digs and Teyah Sautter had 11 assists for Grove.

Columbus Grove won the junior varsity contest 25-8, 25-14.
