OTTOVILLE — Ottoville held off Spencerville in the final two games to open the 2014 volleyball season with a 25-20, 26-24, 26-24 non-league win.
Annie Lindeman had 14 kills for the Big Green, while Nicole Kramer was 17-of-17 serving with four aces and Lexie Thorbahn had 35 assists.
Ottoville won the junior varsity game 25-6, 25-12.

ELIDA — Elida ruined Miller City's season opener as the Bulldogs claimed a 25-14, 25-18, 25-18 non-league win.
Haley Lammers had nine kills and four solo blocks for the Wildcats, while Kylee Ricker had six assists, a kill and three digs. Jana Schroeder had five digs and two kills and Kristin Schmenk had four kills.
Miller City dropped the junior varsity game 25-9, 25-12.

COLUMBUS GROVE — Ayersville held off Columbus Grove in the first game on their way to a 27-25, 25-20, 25-22 non-league season opening win.
Hope Schroeder was 10-of-10 serving with 11 kills and 11 digs, while Briana Glass had 14 assists and Jade Clement was 11-of-11 serving with 10 assists. Kristin Wynn had six kills and four solo blocks.
Columbus Grove won the junior varsity contest 25-7, 25-12.
