ELIDA - Ottoville jumped out to an early lead and continued to build on that as they defeated Leipsic 52-29 in a Division IV regional final at the Elida Fieldhouse.

The win sends the Big Green (26-2) to the Division IV state semi-finals Thursday at 1 p.m. against Buckeye Central (26-1) at the Value City Arena on the Ohio State University campus. Leipsic saw a successful season end at 23-4.

This will be Ottoville's seventh trip to the state tournament and their second in a row.

Ottoville solved the Vikings 2-3 zone early in building a 9-2 lead before the Vikings made a run pulling within 11-9. The Big Green finished the first half with an 11-2 run as they took a 22-10 at halftime.  Ottoville had a 41-25 after the third quarter.

Bridget Landin paced Ottoville with 23 points and nine rebounds. Landin scored 10 points in the opening half, then poured in 11 third quarter points as she dropped in two three-pointers. Kasey Knippen had 13 points, with three three-pointers. CJ Kemper added eight points and six rebounds.

Senior Kierra Meyer had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Vikings and Heather Lammers added 10 points. Leipsic shot 30 percent for the game and were 1-of-7 from distance.
