CONTINENTAL — Ottoville turned in a solid first half defensive in handing Continental a 61-19 setback Thursday evening.

The sixth ranked Big Green, in Division IV, are now 4-0 in the PCL and 13-0 overall.

Ottoville had their defense working throughout the game as the Pirates never scored double digits in a quarter. In the opening half, the Lady Green allowed Continental just seven points as they had a 16-5 lead after one and were up 30-7 at halftime.

Kasey Knippen led a balanced Ottoville attack with 15 points and Amber Miller finished with 11. Ten different players scored for the Lady Green in the win.

Addyson Armey finished with nine points for the Pirates.

Columbus Grove 44

Spencerville 27

COLUMBUS GROVE — Columbus Grove outscored Spencerville over the final three quarters Thursday evening to claim a 44-27 Northwest Conference win.

After both teams scored 10 points in the opening quarter, the Bulldogs had a nine point halftime lead after outscoring the Bearcats 14-5 in the second quarter. Columbus Grove outscored the Bearcats 20-12 in the second half for the win.

Lauren Schroeder paced the Bulldogs (3-1, 6-6) with 14 points and Carlee McCluer added 13 points. Angel Schneider pulled down five rebounds for the Bulldogs.

McComb 44

Pandora-Gilboa 23

PANDORA — McComb held Pandora-Gilboa to one point in the second quarter on their way to a 44-23 Blanchard Valley Conference win Thursday night.

The Panthers had a 10-7 lead after the opening quarter before outscoring the Rockets 14-1 in the second quarter for a 24-8 halftime lead.

Kadalena Duren led three McComb players in double digits with 12 points. Alyssa Herr and Malorie Schroeder both had 10 points for the Panthers.

Kayla Ferguson led P-G (2-8) with a game high 15 points. Paige Fenstermaker grabbed five rebounds and had five steals.

The Rockets won the two quarter JV game 6-3.
