OHSAA state football championships start tonight

CANTON - The final weekend of the Ohio high school football season starts tonight as state championship weekend gets underway. The state finals are being held in Canton and Massillon.The opening game of championship weekend will be the Division III contest between Akron St. Vincent-St. Marys and Trotwood-Madison. The game is being played at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium in Massillon. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Three more championship games will be played on Friday in Division VI, Division IV and Division II.
Thursday, Dec. 5
Div. III: Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary (14-0) vs. Trotwood-Madison (11-2), 7 p.m. at Massillon Paul Brown Tiger Stadium
Friday, Dec. 6
Div. VI: Kirtland (14-0) vs. Haviland Wayne Trace (13-1), 11 a.m. at Canton Fawcett Stadium
Div. IV: Youngstown Cardinal Mooney (10-4) vs. Clarksville Clinton-Massie (13-1), 3 p.m. at Massillon Paul Brown Tiger Stadium
Div. II: Cleveland Glenville (13-1) vs. Loveland (14-0), 7 p.m. at Canton Fawcett Stadium
Saturday, Dec. 7
Div. V: Columbus Bishop Hartley (13-1) vs. Coldwater (12-2), 11 a.m. at Massillon Paul Brown Tiger Stadium
Div. I: Mentor (13-1) vs. Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller (13-1), 3 p.m. at Canton Fawcett Stadium
Div. VII: Glouster Trimble (14-0) vs. Maria Stein Marion Local (14-0), 7 p.m. at Massillon Paul Brown Tiger Stadium
