OTTAWA — After a one year absence the Western Buckeye League volleyball title returned to Ottawa-Glandorf Thursday evening.

The Titans got off to a good start against Elida and rolled to a 25-8, 25-9, 25-13 WBL win on Senior Night at O-G. This was the fifth WBL championship for the Titans in the last six years.

O-G finishes league play at 9-0 and are 18-3 overall.

Titan coach Ann Ellerbrock started an all senior lineup to honor her seven seniors that have put in a lot of hard work the last four years for the program.

Kendra Kalhle led the Titans with six aces and 25 assists, while Carly Alt had 12 kills, Taylor Alt had 11 kills and Brooke Kleman had 20 digs.

The O-G junior varsity won their match 25-3, 25-11 as they moved to 9-0 in the WBL as well and 20-1 overall.

OTTOVILLE — Ottoville put the wraps on an undefeated Putnam County League season Thursday night with a 25-14, 25-20, 25-14 win over Continental.

The win allows the Big Green to claim an outright PCL championship at 6-0 and they are 21-1 overall. The Pirates finished 3-3 in the league and 16-6 overall.

Bridget Landin paced the Big Green with 13 kills, eight blocks and 12 digs, while CJ Kemoer had 17 kills, five blocks and 10 digs. Abi Hilvers had 43 assists, three kills and two blocks, Quinley Schlagbaum had six kills and three blocks and Emily Landin had 12 digs.

Amber Logan served up three aces for the Pirates along with seven kills and eight digs, while Leah Baker had an ace, 14 kills and eight digs. Sydney Eickholt had seven kills, Hannah Troye rhad 20 digs and Jessica Stauffer finished with 29 assists.

Continental won the junior varsity match 25-14, 25-18.

KALIDA — Pandora-Gilboa overcame a 2-1 deficit Thursday evening to defeat Kalida 25-9, 19-25, 23-25, 25-18, 15-13 in Putnam County League action.

Madison Hovest served up seven aces for the Rockets, while Paige Fenstermaker had 23 kills and 11 digs and Kayla Ferguson had 14 kills and 33 digs. Addilyn Diller had 39 assists and 14 digs for P-G.

Liberty Center 0

LIBERTY CENTER — Miller City closed out the regular season Thursday with a 25-19, 25-19, 25-20 non-league win over Liberty Center.

The Wildcats finish the regular season at 11-11.

Sofie VanWezel had 11 kills and six blocks for the Wildcats. while Alaina Niese had nine kills, four blocks, two aces and 11 digs. Meggan Meyer had nine kills and four blocks and Cayla Troyer had an ace, 30 assists and seven digs to lead Miller City.
