VANLUE — Leipsic got out to a quick lead Friday night in handing Vanlue a 46-6 Blanchard Valley Conference contest.

The Vikings scored four touchdowns in the opening quarter as they had a 26-0 after two missed extra points.

Cole Rieman opened the scoring as he caught a 20 yard touchdown pass from new quarterback Drew Liffick for the Vikings. With the extra point the Vikings had a 7-0 lead.

Juan Pena increased the Leipsic lead to 19-0 with a pair of 20 yard scoring runs before Liffick found Tyler Hiegel with a 40 yards coring pass with 2:34 left in the quarter. With the extra point Leipsic had a 26-0 lead.

Leipsic added a pair of touchdowns in the second quarter as Brayden Niese scored on an 80 yard run and Alec Schroeder caught an 11 yard touchdown pass from Liffick for a 39-0 halftime lead.

Lorenzo Walther scored on a two yard run in the third quarter.

The Wildcats avoided the shutout as Jared Kloepfer caught a 56 yard scoring pass from Xavier Temple in the fourth quarter.

Liffick was 8-of-8 passing for the Vikings for 127 yards and three touchdowns. Hiegel had two catches for 49 yards and Rieman two catches for 35 yards. Niese carried the ball three times for 122 yards and Pena had 77 yards on seven carries.
