  • LJGA holds season ending tournament

    LIMA — Most of the summer young golfers in the Lima Junior Golf Association battled wet golf courses and rain.

     
  • COLUMBUS – The Ohio High School Athletic Association will hand out $54,200 in college scholarships to 48 recent high school graduates following selections made by each of the OHSAA’s six District Athletic Boards. The OHSAA’s annual college scholarship program is now in its 23rd year. 
  •  Hannagan survives to win Run for the Rabbit at Limaland
    LIMA — The return of racing to Limaland Motorsports Park for the first time in three weeks was greeted by a large crowd and a moist gripping surface that produced some thrilling action. The evening’s headliner was the annual Run for the Rabbit sprint car feature honoring the memory of the late Travis Miller, a former Limaland competitor who had an enthusiastic and infectious attitude that made him very popular with fans and competitors alike. 
  • DEFIANCE — Defiance College and Yellow Jacket Athletic Director Rudy Yovich announced the hiring of Scott Cutter to take over the men's basketball program as head coach. 
  • OTTAWA — Registration is underway for flag football at the Putnam County YMCA. 
  • OTTOVILLE — Ottoville is currently taking applications for a high school cheerleading advisor for the upcoming basketball season. 
  • OTTAWA — There will be an organizational meeting for anyone wanting to play for the 2015 Ottawa-Glandorf golf team.

     
  • OTTAWA — Pemberville scored four times in the second inning and made those runs stand up in a 5-3 win over Ottawa in an elimination game of the District 1 tournament. 
  • OTTAWA — Heavy rains Friday and Saturday didn't allow any games to be played in the District 1 Legion baseball tournament. 
  • Kalida falls to Coldwater at State ACME tournament
    COLDWATER — Kalida's ACME baseball team battled right down to the end of the state ACME game with Coldwater Sunday afternoon. 
  • COLDWATER — The Kalida and Coldwater state ACME baseball game Saturday evening was postponed after a strong thunderstorm moved into the area. 
  • OTTAWA — Heavy rains Friday evening in Findlay and more rain in Ottawa has forced the cancellation of District 1 American Legion tournament games for Saturday. 
  • COLDWATER — The bracket is set for the 2015 state ACME tournament.? 
  • OTTAWA — Ottawa's American Legion baseball team fell in the opening game of the District 1 tournament Wednesday evening 6-1 to Toledo.

     
  • Kalida wins ACME district title
    ARCHBOLD — Kalida's Trent Siebeneck was making his fourth appearance at the plate in the District 2 ACME District championship game against Miller City Wednesday night.
