OTTAWA — It was a good day for men with the last name of Kuhlman Sunday at the Putnam County League boys basketball all-league meeting.
Leipsic's Zach Kuhlman was named the PCL Player of the Year for boys basketball, while Miller City coach Bryan Kuhlman was named the PCL Coach of the Year.
Zach Kuhlman led the Vikings in scoring this season averaging 19.4 ppg as he scored 427 points during the regular season. Kuhlman went over the 1,000 point mark back in February for his high school career.
Bryan Kuhlman was named the PCL Coach of the Year as he guided the Wildcats to the league championship this season with a 6-1 record.
Zach Kuhlman led a first team that included Columbus Grove's Will Vorhees, Adam Niese, Miller City, Luke Schimmoeller and Brandt Landin of Ottoville.
The second team included Jace Darbyshire, Columbus Grove, Tyler Rue, Continental, Devin Kortokrax, Kalida, Cory Heuerman and Adam Drummelsmith, both of Miller City.
