As the runners headed into the third turn a Bluffton runner bumped the Bulldogs final runner. The meet officials began discussing if the bump was would lead to the Pirates being disqualified. After several minutes of discussion, the meet official informed the coaches involved that the Pirates relay team would be disqualified giving the Bulldogs the meet title.

Columbus Grove finished fifth in the 4x400 relay.

The Bulldogs claimed the title by winning just one event, the pole vault on Thursday, but placed in every event to garner enough points for the championship.

On the girls side, the Lady Bulldogs won 13 events including having double placements in several events throughout the meet. Ten of the Bulldogs wins came on the track as they swept all the distance events.
