To the editor:
The Putnam County Chapter of the American Red Cross would like to thank all the individuals and businesses who supported our chapter during the recent storms. We were able to supply food and water to clients who were without electricity. We are grateful for all the donations both in-kind and monetary that were given so that we could serve the residents of our county during the recent disaster. We would like to thank Trinity United Methodist Church for allowing us to use their facilities as a cooling station and a kitchen, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office who allowed us to prepare meals until a generator was available at the Church, and the Putnam County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) for providing a large generator. We also want to add a BIG THANK YOU to all those who volunteered their time so this service could be provided. A special thank you to the local power companies for their endless efforts to restore all residents in a timely manner. Together we can be a terrific team. Thank you so much for helping us to help others during this time.
