MILLER CITY - Theresa "Jane" Sullivan, 82, of Miller City passed away at 5:06 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 8, 1931 in Miller City to the late Frank and Mary Ann (Schmiedebusch) Kern. On July 19, 1952 she married John Sullivan who passed away Nov. 3, 2013.

   She is survived by 2 children: Timothy Sullivan of Miller City and Rebecca (William) Palte of Columbus Grove; 1 granddaughter: Cortney (Trevor) Mumaugh of Columbus Grove; and 2 great-grandchildren: Alexia and Adalina Mumaugh. She was also preceded in death by 6 brothers: Raymond, Wilfred, Robert, Donald, Francis, and Joseph Kern and 2 sisters: Marie Ray and Pauline Rice. Jane was the last survivor of the Kern family.

   Jane was the cafeteria cook and manager for Miller City Schools for 33 years. She was a  member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City and its Altar Rosary Society and Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was also a member of Miller City's Fire Ladies Auxiliary and was a volunteer for the American Red Cross.

   A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2014 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City with Fr. Stephen Schroeder officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, where there will be a scripture service at 2 p.m. Internment will be at a later date in Monroe Cemetery, Continental. Memorials may be made to Putnam County Home Health and Hospice.
