LIMA — Steve Holdren, 63, passed away at 12:12 p.m. Feb. 20, 2014 at St.Rita’s Medical Center. He was born on Aug. 31, 1950, in Lima, to Homer & Barbara Bicknel Holdren, who have preceded him in death. On October 18, 1969, he married Kathy Croy, who survives in Lima.
His passion was his handyman business, he was truly a man of many talents. He spent many years with Breunners News. In his free time, he was an avid pool player, playing in several leagues for many years. Steve mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather figure to many. His family will miss his stories and sense of humor.
Survivors also include two daughters, Tammy & Quincy Holdren-Spence, of Middletown and Lisa & Michael Cornelius, of Lima; eight grandchildren, Haylie and Josh, Amanda, Jeremiah, Destine, Kionna, DeAsia, Keyamari, and Tia; a great-granddaughter, Keaira; his twin-sister, Stephanie Holdren, of Delphos; two sisters, Tracy & Greg Tanner, of Ivy Land, PA and Deanna Owenby, of Riverview, FL; and his step-mother, Pat Holdren, of Columbus Grove.
He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Richard Holdren; and his brother, Mike Holdren.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26th at CHILES - LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Rev. Barcus will officiate. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
