LEIPSIC — Nancy Lou Alt, 73, of Leipsic, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. She was born on Jan. 12, 1941 in Continental, Ohio to the late Cornelius and Blanche (Myers) Fortman. She married Richard Alt and they later divorced.
Nancy was a teacher for 49 years in the Ottawa - Glandrof Local School system. She was a member of the Gilboa Pentecostal Church of God.
Surviving are son, Nathan (Heather) Alt of Ottawa; daughters, Angie (Daniel) Reinhart of Lambertville, MI, Amy (Michael) Alt Coan of Bellvue; brother, George Fortman; sisters, Agnes Fjelsted, Frances Remington, Marjorie (Peggy) Feliciano and Joyce Beam; 4 grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by brothers, Edward Fortman, Donald Fortman, Cornelius Fortman, Jr. and sisters, Geraldine Fortman, Helen Camper, Genevieve Watchman, Hazel Schneider, Mary Schipper, Delores Donaldson.
A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Healing Streams Gilboa Pentecostal Church, 3695 State Route 224, Ottawa, Ohio. Memorials may be made to a charity of the Donor’s Choice. Lehtomaa Funeral Home, Findlay, Ohio was entrusted with the arrangements. www.lehtomaafh.com
