Bluffton- John R. Beckler Jr., 77 passed away March 14, 2014 at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora.  He was born on July 29, 1936 in Leadwood, Missouri to the late John and Audrey (Rice) Beckler.  On July 20, 1958 he married Marilyn Shoemaker and she survives.

John had been a truck driver for Signal Delivery, Findlay.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Bluffton, the Pandora American Legion, Masonic Lodge Post 418, Mt. Cory, the Teamsters Union and was a veteran of the U.S. Marines Corp.

Survivors also include two daughters Kathy (Tom) Dukes of Mt. Cory, Karen (Kevin) Casemier of Bluffton; two granddaughters Jennifer and Kayla Dukes; and three step grandchildren Devin Casemier, Sean Casemier and Alyssa Casemier.

John was preceded in death by a daughter Julie Beckler; a brother Joseph Beckler; and a sister Sharon Beckler.

Services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday March 17, 2014 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.  Rev. Charles Warren and Rev. Kimberly Miller officiating.  Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora where military rites will be performed.  Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home where a Masonic service will be held at 8:00 pm.
